Veterans in
Agriculture (VIA)

Veterans In Agriculture (VIA) is a hands-on training program that includes an in-person internship on local farms and ranches, online learning through The University of Arizona, and workshops from The Savory Institute and The Boulder Crest Foundation. VIA builds a network of support from fellow veterans working in agriculture.

The program includes resouces for: business planning, capital & operations financing, how to optimize agri-tourism, and a marketing assistance network.

Skillbridge

A 91-120 day hands-on fellowship.

This is a hybrid experience combining in-person work with an academic foundation. You will gain hands on experience on the operational pillars of regenerative agriculture at Camp San Luis Obispo, CA. You will leave with a holistic understanding of how to run a profitable, sustainable grazing operation.

LAHP Ag 102

The LAHP Agriculture 102 course teaches the foundations of agriculture. It is taught in coordination with The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension’s sustainable livestock and agriculture specialists.

While our other programs focus on boots-on-the-ground experience, Ag 102 provides the essential “why” behind the “how.” Specifically created for the military community transitioning to civilian life, this fully online course covers the broad spectrum of modern sustainable agriculture, from soil health to business planning.
